It is getting to the point where money truly overwhelms all kind of sports, athletes sealing lucrative deals here and there and with it the increasing rise of football ticket prices. Has the passionate game of football gone and being replaced with power hungry and greedy corporations and is there still hope for the true love of football to return?
Have your say?

I think the fans are still as passionate as ever but for anyone in the industry it quickly turns into money because nowadays it is a millions game - nevertheless any player who has no love for the game is not gonna go very far even if they have a lot of talent and connections

Yes the fans are passionate but the industry gets fat over their backs. Arsenal was charging £65 for tickets last season and they are hardly going down soon. A few weeks ago there was a demonstration from Marble Arch for affordable prices but it seems that we are just a diversion for commuters and the march is seen as a gesture by the industry. It gets ignored. How can young teenage fans even dream of getting a season ticket?? So then it becomes just something for people with the mulah. That's not a beautiful game, that's a racket.

the league is a huge cash cow. Its the only football there is worth watching, what you want to do go stick with your own local club? the local club is fab but we still want to watch world class football. Yes its a circus but its still the greatest show on earth.

They always say be careful what you wish for... the British public wanted the best league in the world in England, full of the best football and the best players. That's what we've got, but at a great expense, literally. Football has lost its connection to the fans, but you still get fantastic moments, like City winning the League with their last kick in 2012. Everything has been heightened, from prices and transfer fees to talent and drama. It's not perfect, but it does have its upsides, too.

If you would ask people that complain about the state of football if they would wanna go back to how it was 50 years ago, would they be happy? Probably not.. The price is there but it can't be avoided we could see this coming since the premier league was set up 22 years back.
