Currently the penalty for being caught texting while driving is a £100 fine and 3 points on your licence, however this is due to increase to £200 fine and 6 points in 2017 but is this increase enough for something that can have such a deadly consequences? Step Up, Speak Up and have your say...

That doesn't sound like you Selena. IMO they should be between £200 and £300 so I think it's a big improvement. Will people stop texting? No chance they will. You are allowed so many things now with your phone. People use it as a navigator plus they talk hands-free, so a quick text in will always be part of it. For every 1000 text that get sent, how many get caught?

Sooner or later you will be able to do all that by voice command without even touching your phone. You probably can now even I'm not sure. So they can't stop us from talking can they?

That's hazardous too. When does your phone citation get it right?

If that's the case then a driver's concentration will hardly be a problem, right?

Nobody gets caught texting I'm serious. When peolpe get tickets it's for traffic lights or no go areas or speeding or parking. I could tell you how I know but I won't.
